BIO

Diana B. Simpson was born in Queens, New York. For over twenty years, she has served as an educator in varying regions along the east coast. She is currently a 4th-grade teacher employed by Prince George’s County in Upper Marlboro.  She received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Claflin University and post-graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina-Aiken and South Carolina State University.  Since her youth, she has had a penchant for writing and aspirations to publish her collection of poems.  Her first book, "Just for My Journey: Expressions on My Walk," was released in June 2018.  She currently resides in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
